He has the enthusiasm and big plan to boost broadband usage in Malaysia.
Problem is, other then struggling with educating narrow-band user to switch to broadband and low computer ownership in the country, there are more problems with tele-communication infrastructure, and the lack of expertise and competency in TMnet organisation itself.
Here is just another example of a classic customer support you can get from TMnet.
I was requested by two friends to assist them in signing up with Sreamyx towards the deadline of the recent 'TMnet Member Get Member' programe. I gracefully went on to the TMnet website to do the registration for them. However, after passing through a few screens successfully, on the very last screen to confirm the registration details, an obvious flaw in the MIPS java program caused an error and thrown out the below error message:

I called the customer support through the 1-300-number and sent an email to custcare@tm.net.my on 30/12/2005. The helpdesk simply cannot do anything, and there is no response to the email, although it was a working day.
A reply from TMnet was finally arrived on 3/1/2006 (as Quoted below).
And the reply is as good as none, of course.
